Hammer Audio was set up in 2015 with the aim of bringing clients very high quality, handmade, flexible, modern products that have all the best characteristics of more classic recording equipment that has now become hard to find. Our engineers and designers actively work in recording studios and we also involve other big, busy working studios as our test environments enabling us to ensure our products are practical, easy to use and will sound great in any studio situation.

Our design ethos on all our products is to start with something classic, adapt it, add to it, and make our own! We pride ourselves on finding the right new old stock components, and like combining them traditional mic building techniques while adding flexible controls to bring the best of vintage recording to the modern studio! We will be rolling out a large range of products including FET microphones, valve microphones, new and exciting dynamics units and much more!

Hammer Audio products are the creations of dedicated studio users that originally were building products solely our their own private use due to not being able to find what we wanted on the market. Eventually we got such good feedback after making our first ever 1 off FET mic (now the HA-872) over the course of a year or 2 we decided to bring them to market. Hammer Audio was created as the brand name off the back of our partner company SilverHammer Productions Ltd, a nod to our director Max and The Beatles song Maxwell’s Silver Hammer.
